Most of the people expect the tension between Muslims and non-Muslims to continue in view of the recent pronouncements from various governments on the veil issue. Mutual fears and recriminations have increased since 9/11 attacks and the proclaimed war on terror and hence Islam in the current world situation has taken on a combative stance.
