US Airways fights fallout from shutdown threat
Article Abstract:
US Airways may have reached a tentative agreement with its airline flight attendants but it will have to work hard to regain lost passenger traffic and consumer confidence, not to mention the lost sales that it incurred in Mar 2000 because of the uncertainty stemming from its labor situation. The airline has began offering double frequent flier points on nearly all flights made by May 15, 2000, and slashed many fares for travel until May 15, 2000.

Uneasy airline unions want more information than they're getting
Article Abstract:
Labor unions at United and US Airways want to know what lies ahead for them if American and United take possession of US Airways. The situation is more serious for employees of US Airways, who could be dispersed to United, American or a smaller carrier that could be spun from it. Both United and US Airways have promised job security to their workers if their merger pushes through. However, airline unions, concerned with employee seniority, have withheld giving their approval to the deal.

Northwest summit fails to spark talks
