Taliban leaders believe that the Afghan conflict is entering a new phase in 2005 with help from Iraqi insurgents. Taliban forces are larger, more aggressive and better armed and organized than at any time since the end of 2001 and there are indications that a team of Arab instructors from Iraq were brought in by Al Qaeda to teach the new insurgent techniques to the Taliban.
