Vasogen shares soar on tests of heart surgery technology

Share prices of Vasogen Inc have increased 73% in September on news that human trials of its heart surgery technology are about to start. Tests of its technology on animals have shown that it can change the immune response in various auto-immune diseases. The firm's share prices increased from $1.79 on Aug 30 to $3.10 on Sep 7, 1999 at the Toronto Stock Exchange, an increase of 75 cents from Sep 3.
