Winnipeg, Manitoba, has a poor reputation among some people, but it actually is a stable city in which life moves at a slower pace. Nothing extraordinary happens there, but several famous people, including Ambassador Allan Gotlieb, are from Winnipeg.

Moving Canada's capital from Ottawa to Winnipeg makes so much sense that it will never happen. Ottawa is an artificial capital, chosen long ago by Queen Victoria. Winnipeg better reflects Canada's national character.
