Zellers promotes executive to president to replace Heller

Zellers Inc, a discount retailer, has named Thomas Haig as its new president who will take over from George Heller. Before being named president, retail veteran Haig was Zellers' executive VP of merchandising and marketing. Meanwhile, Heller was named president of Zellers' financially-strapped parent, Hudson's Bay Co, after William Fields unexpectedly resigned as head of the company.

HBC executive urges global retail watchdog
