Dr.Ziggy Switkowski Chief of Telstra who was sacked from his job and condemned as a failure in the nation's top corporate post when the dotcom bubble burst in 2000 is described. Switkowski could be congratulated for cutting jobs to expand Telstra's margin and he tried to reassure shareholders that Telstra would retain its markets and margins in the face of new competition.
