Germany: Rhodia to step up latex production

Chemicals producer Rhodia intends to increase latex production in Leuna to 50,000 t per year. That is twice its present output. One third of the latex is intended for exports.

GERMANY: BASF UPS PAPER CHEMICALS CAPACITY

Article Abstract:

At its Ludwigshafen site, BASF has brought on stream a new production facility for coating binders for the paper industry. The 210,000 tpy plant involved an investment of EUR 50mn. At the same site, BASF also invested EUR 5mn in a 20,000-tpy production facility for high-molecular polyethylenimin for the paper industry.
