Chinese knots
Article Abstract:
The NATO bombing of a Chinese embassy in Belgrade may have dire consequences for future relations between China and America. Chinese officials, students, and the media rejected NATO's explanation that the bombing was a mistake and continue to see the US as a threat to China's political, economic, and cultural future. With Chinese public opinion backing Beijing, China has been able to wield more political power and influence in international relations.
