Be nice and get your money - An empirical analysis of World Trade Organization trade disputes and aid
Article Abstract:
The weak position of developing countries in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and their limited negotiating power as compared to industrialized members is partially due to their dependence on Official Development Assistance/Official Aid (ODA/OA). The relation between initiation of trade disputes under the Dispute Settlement Understanding (DSU) and ODA is examined.
