Article Abstract:
The coastal districts of Batticaloa and Trincomallee have turned violent where paramilitaries, supported by the Sri Lankan military and mercenaries engaged by both sides, have caused over a hundred deaths. Over two decades of civil war has not ended but mutated into a more bloodthirsty form, engulfing all communities in the northeast.

The radical religion in Bangladesh might still be the winner even after the conviction of two Islamic militants for a series of bombings in 2005. The extremist groups still have links with established political parties and they are able to exploit rampant corruption and a failed government to further their ideals.
