Cleaning the Augean stables: Populism in Latin America and India
Article Abstract:
The examples of populist leaders from Latin America and India are used to show that comparisons can be established in terms of their social bases and identity politics and also at the same it also draws that how they handle neoliberal reforms and poverty alleviation programs. The studies have encouraged the scholars to draw comparisons between these two regions as they are converging towards similar democratic and economic systems.
