Expanding the green public sphere: Post-colonial connections
Article Abstract:
The practical tendencies and theoretical prospects of green politics that have arisen in the context of post-colonial connections are examined and the goal of a unified, consensual movement is questioned. Despite the divisions of Green politics, there remains a significant source of connection in the form of practical and theoretical challenges to long guiding industrialism and colonialism, which continue to exert substantial influence on the resistance to conquest of earth and the domination of nature.

'Treading softly' on the political system? The Irish Greens in the 1997 general election
Article Abstract:
The Irish Green Party's failure to win seats in the 1997 general elections implies that cohesion and lack of public acceptance of the Green Party's role in government could explain why candidates were not elected. The Green Party needs to address cohesion within the ranks so members do not see mainstream politics as problematic. A parliamentary body also needs to be formed for training purposes.
