Billions spent on conventions - what's the payback for blacks?
Article Abstract:
Black Americans spend up to $17 billion a year on conventions and related travel but they do not profit from them because most of the conventions are held in cities where there are not many blacks working in hotels and convention centers. Blacks are justified when they demand a share of the millions spent by them that go back to the community in the form of payments earned for goods sold and services rendered. Black Conventions should identify African-American suppliers for convention business.
