Dream of a new dawn
Article Abstract:
The election in Central Africa is aimed to end instability, conflict, massacres of Congolese populations, war crimes and other serious human rights violations and the displacement of thousands of people within and beyond one of the wealthiest countries in Africa. These elections offer a chance to establish a lasting peace, to revive the economies of all the countries concerned where pressure is needed so this chance will not be missed and the dream of a new dawn in Africa may come true.

The Transitional National Assembly election appointed Shi'ite cleric as chairman, with a veteran Kurdish politician as vice chairman from 55 selected committee to take charge of drafting the constitution. The Transitional Administrative Law requires a draft constitution, a monumental task that provides the framework for the constitutional process.

Calls for change
Article Abstract:
The contenders for the May 2007 presidential election, Nicolas Sarkozy and Segolene Royal, are trying to forge new ties with the African continent and seem to be interested in Franco-African policy. These two are depicting themselves as the new generation politicians who want to change policy in Africa.
