Land and starvation
Article Abstract:
An examination of the achievements of Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe, in the light of arguments about the playing of Cricket World Cup matches in Zimbabwe and rows about visits by Mugabe to Paris, France, or London, England. It is suggested that any political achievements made by Mugabe during his spell as President - which include the opening of ministerial dialogue with South Africa, and the role he played in bringing peace to Mozambique - will now be overshadowed by his efforts to grind down any and all opposition in Zimbabwe to his rule.
