Lig Hongzhi: the man and his deeds
Article Abstract:
China's research office of the Ministry of Public Security presents several practices and claims of Li Hongzhi to demonstrate their inaccuracy. Included are his supposed supernatural powers, his original name, changing his birth date to coincide with the founder of Buddhism, and the false basis of Falun Gong.

Beijing posts reward for arrest of Li Hongzhi: fifty thousand renminbi for persons who provide information
Article Abstract:
The Ministry of Public Security announced in mid-August, 1999, a reward for the arrest of Li Hongzhi. He and members of his Falun Gong sect are accused of homicide, using firearms, selling drugs, assault and battery, and other crimes.
