Urgent circular on disposing of the remains of contagious atypical pneumonia sufferers and of funeral arrangements
Article Abstract:
An urgent circular dated April 25, 2003 issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Health and the General Office of the Ministry of Civil Affairs provides regulations for the appropriate disposal and funeral arrangements of the cadavers of severe acute respiratory syndrome sufferers. Such cadavers cannot be buried or transported but have to be disinfected and cremated at designated mortuaries by trained personnel to prevent the spread of the epidemic.

Urgent circular on preventing the transmission of atypical pneumonia by long-distance passenger vehicles
Article Abstract:
A report on a circular issued by the General Office of the People's Government of Guizhou province to prevent the transmission of SARS by means of transportation by quarantining long distance vehicles and subjecting passengers to simple health examinations is presented.
