Of time and the Changjiang Chinese history past, present and future
Article Abstract:
China's social history will continue to shape the country in the future. The most important theme of Chinese history is the scholar-official who prefers the service to the nation and people to personal gains. The honest officer or advisor helped the strengthening of the administrative system to check the growth of opportunists. Resistance to foreign attacks is another theme of history and can be een reflected in the response to the current invasion, in the form of foreign investment. The record number of rebellions in China and its influence in shaping the course of history are also important.

"To be attacked by the enemy is a good thing": The struggle over the legacy of Mao Zedong and the Chinese Socialist Revolution
Article Abstract:
Mao Zedong's statement, 'To be attacked by the enemy is not a bad thing but a good thing' has not only altered the conception of struggle but has encapsulated perhaps more succinctly than any other of his sayings the dialectical character of his thinking and strategy. Jung Chang and Jon Halliday, authors of The Unknown Story, published by Mao, reconfirm by their work, unwittingly, the central role of Mao and the Chinese Socialist Revolution.
