Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the impact of foreign aid on economic freedom and policy change in developing countries. The traditional reasons for extending official development assistance have been weakened and have given rise to new plausible-sounding reasons. Foreign-aid assessments reveal its effectiveness in the promotion of market reforms in developing countries and of self-sustaining growth in countries that do reform.
