On the mystery of teachers I never met
Article Abstract:
It may be that none of the world's greatest thinkers are alive during our lifetimes, or even if they are, it is unlikely that we will meet them, but the words and thoughts of great thinkers are available through books and even electronic sources. Through such means, the greatest teachers of all times can continue to teach. Some of the thoughts of philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, G.K. Chesterton, St Augustine, Eric Voegelin, Blaise Pascal, and others are discussed.

Truth as a democratic project
Article Abstract:
There is a need for truth to become a democratic project to save democracy from subjectivism. However, there is also a need to prevent people from enshrining freedom in the name of democracy and turning it into an absolute source of all values. Democracy should not be merely a process by which people reach decisions, rather, it should have some criterion by which it can judge the moral worth of the content of its own decisions.
