Perceived environmental uncertainty and participation in decisionmaking in the prediction of perceptions of the fairness of personnel decisions
Article Abstract:
The effect of perceived environmental uncertainty and participation in decisionmaking to the perception of the fairness of personnel decisions is examined. Data was provided by 80 female and 276 male Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel who participated in a study of agency job satisfaction and climate. Findings show that workers are likely to perceive the results of personnel decisions as just when they receive and give information used in organizational decisionmaking in general.
