Strategic landscape has changed due to the absence of major-power conflicts, the rising importance of non-governmental groups and Asia's economic and political rise. The US must address these through a strong president, responsible elites and strategic moves for the post-Cold War situation.

Where the normal American meets the Muslim cleric

All peoples of the world, whether Muslim or non-Muslim persevere to preserve their traditional values and culture. Islamic fundamentalism should not be considered as a threat to world peace. It only symbolizes the Muslims' struggle to keep their traditions and values.
