The mixed fortunes of the Austrian Greens in the Mid-1990s
Article Abstract:
The Austrian environmental political party, Green Alternative, has environmental protection as its driving force. The political profile of the Green Alternative consists of defending nature against the excesses of industrialization, a critical stance towards the European Union, commitment to defending the marginalized in society and advocating for Austrian neutrality. The party has gained limited support because of its extremely radical views and their perceived quarrelsome nature.
