The second Iraq war one year on: Can George W. Bush and Tony Blair be tried for war crimes?
Article Abstract:
The issue of whether the conduct of military operations in the Iraq war has the potential to trigger any legal consequences for the leaders who initiated the 'Third Gulf War' is discussed. It is argued that under the UN Charter, only two circumstances warrant use of force against any other country and since the Iraq war was not started due to either of the two circumstances, the war against Iraq by the Anglo-American forces could be termed as illegal.

Citizenship and preemptive war: The lesson from Iraq
Article Abstract:
The war in Iraq is examined in an effort to see how the new policy of Reformed Preemption will be employed in practice. It is argued that citizens should be wary of a policy of Reformed Preemption such as found in the National Security Strategy of the United States as it permits wars even when threats are vague and merely potential and it allows for disproportionate use of force.
