The virtual Europe
Article Abstract:
Domestic economic and political problems are causing Europeans to look for solutions beyond their own borders and join the globalism bandwagon. This is manifested in the large number of leaders attending NATO conferences, Jacques Chirac's holding of French elections and Helmut Kohl's revaluing of Germany's gold reserves to meet European standards. This optimism in the promise of transnational progress is not matched by a corresponding understanding of the nature of globalization.
