Acute liver damage in anorexia nervosa
Article Abstract:
The clinical course and medical treatment of severe acute multiorgan dysfunction and acute liver damage in a patient with anorexia nervosa (AN) is illustrated. It is found that the combination of malnutrition and a critical reduction in the perfusion of the liver and other organs is most likely responsible for acute liver damage and multiorgan dysfunction.
