An adviser in resource management situations: configural weighing of recommendations
Article Abstract:
Resource management given open access refers to the efficient management of a community resource to which all members have open access. Examples of such problems are water consumption during droughts and ocean fishing. Given specific goals for optimal harvests, greed is the only factor that may cause a deviation from individual harvest targets. This effect becomes complicated in the presence of environmental uncertainty. However, the presence of an advisor may reduce the bias of greed. Nevertheless, analysis shows that following the advice can be biased in the same direction as greed.

Parental investment and risk taking in simulated family situations
Article Abstract:
Sex or parental differences in risk-taking were investigated using three family situations. Parental investment theory states that each parent invests on the family according to the size of his or her investment. Three scenarios, one on mate selection, second on parenthood and the third on divorce were read aloud to subjects and they were asked to pick out course of action from the choices. Results showed that the women were more willing to employ a strategy for childrens' welfare than spouse welfare. Women were also more willing to compromise on spouse unfaithfulness than men.
