Anniversary reactions in the therapy group
Article Abstract:
Groups can perceive buried associations to long past calendar dates hence group therapy is effective in surfacing hidden anniversary emotions that often obstruct the course of treatment. Illustrations of anniversary reactions arising in groups are presented along with facilitating effects of group process in identifying and resolving specific resistances.
