Applicability of cognitive adaptation theory to predicting adjustment to heart disease after coronary angioplasty
Article Abstract:
A study to determine whether cognitive adaption theory is useful in predicting a patient's successful adjustment to heart disease after coronary angioplasty is discussed. Findings indicate that patients with an optimistic outlook and positive self-image are more successful in adjusting to their disease.
