An overview of cost-related issues that researchers and administrators use to measure incremental costs, effectiveness and benefits of adding psychological assessments to other psychological interventions is presented. The assessment can be termed cost-beneficial if the sum of monetary and monetizable benefits of assessment exceeds the sum of the costs of treatment.
