Assessment of behavioral chaos with a focus on transitions in depression
Article Abstract:
The incorporation of chaos theory in psychological assessments of behavior disorders has provided for better analysis of unstable single-subject time series data. Clinicians adopting this methodology will be in a better position to assess and evolve treatment procedures for unstable behavior disorders such as manic episodes and extreme mood changes.

The deterministic structure of unipolar depression is studied. Findings reveal that maladaptive deterministic theories of mood disorders have implications for the assessment of unipolar depression.
