Cross-national differences in the assessment of psychopath: Do they reflect variations in raterEs perceptions of symptoms?
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to test cross-national differences in the prevalence of psychopathy, PCL-R ratings of offenders from Canadian and Scottish prisons on the basis of videotaped interviews. The results suggest that the reported cross-national differences are more likely to be in expression of the disorder and the proportion of variance in test scores attributable to raters was small.
