Associations among family-of-origin food-related experiences, expectancies, and disordered eating
Article Abstract:
The study of risk for eating disordered behavior includes research on family-of-origin learning experiences and adult eating/thinning experiences, thus an integration of such research is presented. The review reveals that family-of-origin learning experiences are likely to influence adult eating disordered behavior.

Affect modulates appetite-related brain activity to images of food
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine whether affect ratings predicted regional cerebral responses to high and low-calorie foods. Findings suggest a neurobiologic substrate that might be involved in the commonly reported increase in cravings for calorie-dense foods during heightened negative emotions.

Evaluating the effects of eating disorder memories on readers' eating attitudes and behaviors
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to test whether memoirs affected readers' eating attitudes and behaviors and whether they normalize and/or glamorize eating disorders. It shown that eating disorder memoirs had little effect on undergraduates' eating attitudes and behaviors.
