Auditory temporal processing in disabled readers with or without oral language delay
Article Abstract:
There have been claims that children who have problems reading and talking may also have problems in processing auditory information that is rapidly presented. Research on children aged between seven-years-old and 10-years-old shows that there are links between phonological decoding and auditory temporal processing, but this may only account for some of the cases. Temporal processing deficits are not the single cause of language and phonological deficits among children with reading difficulties.

Asymmetric deterioration of spatial awareness with diminishing levels of alertness in normal children and children with ADHD
Article Abstract:
The mechanisms that might underpin a bias in attention away from left space in both clinical and non-clinical child populations are examined. Results show that, regardless of the children's clinical diagnosis, diminished sustained attention/alertness levels forms the strongest predicator of relatively delayed awareness of information presented within left visual space.
