Autism: towards an integration of clinical, genetic, neuropsychological and neurobiological perspectives
Article Abstract:
The study of the causes of autism and its variable manifestations requires a partial integration of genetic, neuropsychological and neurobiological data. This will identify key research questions, the limitations of current hypotheses and future research directions. Research shows strong genetic influences and basic cognitive deficits as the factors causing autism. Neurobiological abnormalities also contribute towards the disorder, although the findings are not easily replicable.

Head circumference in autism and other pervasive developmental disorders
Article Abstract:
The results from an anthropometric study reveals high rate of increased circumferences among clinic attending children with pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) irrespective of the severity of the disorder. The data indicate that the rate of macrocephaly found in almost one-third of these children is much higher than that in children with language disorder alone. The results suggest that PDD may be associated with abnormal physical development.
