Brain plasticity in learning visual words
Article Abstract:
Electrophysiology was used in an experiment to determine the changes in brain processing associated with learning. Participants of the experiment were given a miniature artificial language called Keki. The Keki language is composed of 68 easy to pronounce words with a corresponding English meaning. The subjects were given five weeks to learn the language. Findings revealed orthography influenced their learning ability because it developed their word recognition skill, allowing them to comprehend and execute the new words rapidly.

Illusory conjunctions of color and motion with shape following bilateral parietal lesions
Article Abstract:
A study was performed to investigate the effect of adding motion on the illusory conjunctions (IC) rates of a patient experiencing bilateral and parietal-occipital lesions. Neuropsychological research discovered that impaired spatial attention and representation increased the rate of IC. The patient presented miscombinations of motion with shape, shape with color and color with motion. In conclusion, the spatial ability of parietal lobes contributed to the perception of bound visual features and proper feature binding.
