Children's understanding of the relation between delayed video representation and current reality: A test for self-awareness?
Article Abstract:
Self-awareness can be difficult to measure objectively, and it has been argued that delayed self-recognition reflects a different stage in self-awareness. A study examined whether children's ability to recognize themselves in delayed video feedback indicates altered self-awareness. The video contained surprising elements, and each element proved equally difficult and performance correlated. It suggests that the video test may not be a valid test of the differences in self-awareness, in its current form.

Memory strength affects reporting of misinformation
Article Abstract:
Research into eyewitness recall has found that individuals tend to incorporate misinformation about a previously encoded event into subsequent recall of that event. A study aimed to determine what predicts preschoolers' susceptibility to misinformation. Reporting of misinformation is determined by the rate of integrity of both the original and misleading information.
