Cognitive and affective consequences of repressive coping
Article Abstract:
Research compares cognitive processing, behavior and memory in repressors and non-repressors, repressors being subjects who react more intensely to emotional stimuli. Repressors and non-repressors were shown an unpleasant movie, and then were compared on their moods after the viewing, as well as their ability to remember details of the film.

Cross-cultural differences in coping with sadness
Article Abstract:
A cross-cultural study of coping finds that Caucasians and Asians are not as likely to employ positive reappraisal and confrontive emotional strategies when coping with sadness as multicultural subjects. Results also suggest that distancing coping strategies are more likely to be used by multicultural subjects than Asians.

Perceptions of group homogeneity as a function of social comparison: the mediating role of group identity
Article Abstract:
Research presented examines intergroup relations, stereotyping, and group identity. The article focuses on the perception of internal homogeneity by the ingroup and outgroup, and how these perceptions are influenced by the subject's level of identification with the group.
