Delinquency, victimization, and substance use among adolescents with female same-sex parents
Article Abstract:
A study assesses delinquent behavior, victimization, and substance use among adolescents living with female same-sex versus different-sex couples. Results reveal that adolescents whose parents have close relationships with them are likely to have fewer problems with delinquency and substance use, emphasizing the importance of parent-adolescent relationships and suggesting that parental sexual orientation does not affect adolescent developmental behavior.
