Dilemmas for clinicians in use of Community Treatment Orders

The article examines the dilemmas faced by New Zealand clinicians who use mandatory mental health care Community Treatment Orders. Topics include the proper level of authority clinicians should have over patients, deciding when to revoke involuntary status, and the effectiveness of mandated care. Recommendations for handling these dilemmas are provided.

Violence against women associated with arrests for sex trade but not drug charges
Article Abstract:
Research on incarcerated women in the United States shows that experiences of gender-oriented violence are correlated with sex trade arrests but not drug-related arrests. The need for intervention is emphasized.
