Disclosure between college students and their siblings
Article Abstract:
212 undergraduates completed a 31 topic disclosure questionnaire. It is suggested that individuals disclose about fewer topics and in less depth to siblings more than five years younger than themselves. Participant or sibling gender did not significantly affect disclosure rates. Younger siblings reported more disclosure with the aim of seeking advice and support, and older siblings reported more disclosure with the aim of teaching younger siblings.

Development of a typology of dual-earner families: a window into differences between and within families in relationships, roles, and activities
Article Abstract:
Dual-earner families may be grouped into high-status, low-stress and main-secondary families. Both high-status and low-stress groups reflect absolute work condition levels of both husbands and wives, while the main-secondary group reveals differences in couples' work situations. The typology is also related to other family life characteristics such as parental monitoring of children and spousal evaluation of marriage.
