Does negative priming reflect inhibitory mechanisms? A review and integration of conflicting views
Article Abstract:
This article investigates the relationship between negative priming and inhibitory selection mechanisms related to attention. Research indicates that delayed reaction times that occur during negative priming tasks are the result of the retrieval of inappropriate perceptual information or the additional cognitive processes involved in distinguishing past and current information.

Task-switching costs, Stroop-costs, and executive control: a correlational study
Article Abstract:
This article examines reaction time costs related to processing Stroop stimuli, or color words that are written in a different colored ink, and task-switching. Findings indicate that there are significant positive correlations between time costs and task-switching, but only modest correlations between time costs and Stroop stimuli identification.

Implicit sequence learning with competing explicit cues
Article Abstract:
This article examines the interaction between competing explicit cues and implicit sequence learning during a forced-choice task. Findings indicate that intentionally using explicit knowledge of a predictive relationship during the task does not have an inhibitory effect on the expression of implicit sequence learning.
