Twin studies and the etiology of eating disorders
Article Abstract:
A UK assessment of major international twin studies of eating disorders indicated that the results of such studies are not consistent and that they are not easy to interpret. Whilst eating disorders do having genetic causes, a focus on neurobiological and environmental aspects of eating disorders is more likely to result in faster improvements in treatment.

Eating disorder in a transgendered patient: a case report
Article Abstract:
A case of a 25-year-old transgendered patient with an eating disorder is reported. The biological male patient presents with persistent binging, purging and restricting. She articulates a close relationship between transgender issues and the development of a variety of eating disorder symptoms.
