Article Abstract:
A report on knowledge generated from theoretical and empirical work in infant observation studies and attachment, trauma, and neurobiology research that was integrated and applied to the development of a group of pregnant and new mothers is presented. It reveals that group interactions were able to prevent new psychopathology from developing as well as minimize the intergenerational transmission of trauma.
