Health psychology and scientific consensus: the case of depression and cardiovascular disease
Article Abstract:
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute working group in charge of generating recommendations on the assessment and treatment of depression in patients with cardiovascular disease has published their report. The report suggests which depression instruments to be applied in epidemiology and clinical trial studies as well as signifies the nurturing of scientific consensus in interdisciplinary research.

Article Abstract:
The knee osteoarthritis is more prominent among the African Americans but yet the possibility of total knee replacement (TKR) is more among the European Americans. The culturally responsive educational programs may enhance the attitude of the patient and the beliefs in relation to TKR, which finally enhances its proper use.
