Indirect anaphora in English and French: A cross-linguistic study of pronoun resolution
Article Abstract:
The disagreement within both linguistics and psycholinguistics concerning the use of unaccented third person pronouns to refer to implicit referents is discussed. The results of the hypothesis tested showed that pronominal reference to implicit referents caused slower reading times compared to explicit referents for peripheral referents only.

Evidence for long-term cross-language repetition priming in conceptual implicit memory tasks
Article Abstract:
The theory that the failure in earlier studies to find cross-language repetition priming was due to the use of tasks that neglected to rely on conceptual processing of the stimuli is tested. The results reinforce theories of bilingual memory that assume shared conceptual representations for translation equivalents.

The time-course of the application of binding constraints in reference resolution
Article Abstract:
The role of the binding theory in on-line sentence processing is explored in eyetracking experiments. The results confirm the operation of Principle A of the binding theory, which defines constraints on the reference of anaphors such as reflexives and reciprocals.
