Organizational information-processing capabilities and degree of employee participation: a longitudinal field experiment
Article Abstract:
The relationship between employee participation and the information-processing capability of organizations was examined. Data were collected from an engineering division of a large power-generating company in the southeastern US for a period of 40 months. The results of an analysis of covariance and t-tests indicated that the information processing capacity of a corporation was improved as a result of employee participation. This implies that there is a complementary relationship between participation theory and information theory.

Using imagery to facilitate organizational development and change
Article Abstract:
Research that analyzed how 24 external and 12 internal consultants from 16 states used mental imagery techniques in organizational settings is discussed. The research suggested that the Ainsworth-Land's (1982) conceptual schema could be an effective guide from which to design a mental imagery model to use in consulting. Empirical results showed positive effects from mental imagery techniques and gave support to the idea of further research.
