Morphological influences on the recognition of monosyllabic monomorphemic words
Article Abstract:
A study extends the approach of previous researchers to the domain of morphology to ascertain whether morphological variables are predictive for the processing of morphologically simple words in a large-scale regression study when a wide range of covariates are taken into account. Results support the conclusion that in visual lexical decision semantic factors are predictive over and above frequency and measures of a wordEs form.

Morphological decomposition in early visual word processing
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to observe the primary effects produced by a short presentation of morphologically complex pseudo-words in French. The results reveal an early morphological decomposition triggered by the morphological structure of the prime, but insensitive to its lexicality or interpretability.

Morphological encoding in the production of compound words in Mandarin Chinese
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate whether morphological encoding is involved in the production of Chinese disyllabic transparent compound words. The results show that morphological encoding is at best minimally involved in the production of Chinese disyllabic speech production.
