Ipsapirone in the treatment of bulimia nervosa: an open pilot study
Article Abstract:
The effectiveness of ipsapirone in treating bulimia nervosa was investigated. Results of the open trial showed that ipsapirone effectively reduced bulimic symptoms in 66.6% of the subjects after a single week of treatment. In addition, 93.3% showed a reduction of over 50% of weekly binge eating attacks after four weeks of treatment. The mean frequency of binges declined by 81% at endpoint.

Assessment of bulimia nervosa: a comparison of interview and self-report questionnaire methods
Article Abstract:
Research into the extent of agreement between the Eating Disorders Examination and its self-report version on core items in a clinical sample of patients with bulimia nervosa is presented. It was found that interview and self-report methods of evaluating the specific psychopathology of bulimia nervosa in a clinical sample produced different results for some key features.

Influence of shape and weight on self-evaluation in bulimia nervosa
Article Abstract:
Concerns about shape and weight in bulimia nervosa were studied. Influence and overconcern were found to be equally significant measures of excessive concerns about shape and weight.
